The balance must be paid in full at least one week before collection of your order.
Any significant changes to your order, including reduction of items or cake size, within 2 weeks of your collection date may result in loss of deposit.
Deposits are non/refundable and non-transferable.
Seasonal products:
All seasonal products are pre ordered and must be paid in full.
Payment is non refundable and non transferable.
You will be notified of collection date and times with payment invoice.
It is your responsibility to collect on time. Collection will not be available outside of those times.
Cancellations:
Your deposit is non refundable and non transferable, as other bookings may have been refused to allow me to bake for you.
In very unusual circumstances, e.g. illness, bereavements, it may be necessary for me to cancel a booking. On such occasions a full refund will be made.
Designing your cake:
Cake design is a very creative process. I will do my very best to create your selected design as closely as possible. However, at times, I may make slight adjustments to the design in the interest of structure, stability or aesthetics, but will do so without changing the design immensely.
Should you wish to change the design of your cake you may do so until 2 weeks prior to the supply date. Any changes will be charged accordingly.
No changes can be made less than 2 weeks before the specified date of collection.
Collection:
Your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time. I will do my best to accommodate your requested collection time. If you feel that you are going to be later than planned, please contact me as soon as possible.
When you or your representative collect, transport and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it has left my possession. Carroll’s Custom Cakes are not liable for damage due to client handling once the cake has been collected.
If your cake is damaged after it is in your possession, I will assess the damages and may, if circumstances allow, offer to fix the cake for you. If I must travel to you to repair your cake, mileage fees will be applied. In addition, further costs may be incurred depending on the severity of the damage to the cake.
You are advised that when transporting your cake it should be kept in the box provided on a flat, clean surface. It should be out of direct sunlight. It should not be transported on a car seat. Due to the delicate nature of the cakes, care must be taken during transportation. No liability is accepted if damage occurs in transit.
On collection of your cake you will be asked if you are happy with your product. By taking your cake from our premises, you confirm you are happy with its condition and final overall presentation.
If for some reason you deem the cake inedible and unfit for use, you will need to return the cake to my premises within 12 hours of purchase in order that the product can be examined. All other concerns should be made in writing with evidence of grievance included.
Allergies:
Please be aware that whilst your chosen product may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings. Details of any allergens within your bake will be provided with your order. It is your responsibility to advise me of any allergies you, or your party may have.
All of my bakes are made with gluten (wheat), dairy and eggs.
Non-edible items:
Many cakes contain food safe non-edible items which may include (but are not limited to) dowels, ribbons, straws etc. You will be advised of the placement of such items; however it is your responsibility to ensure that your venue / caterer / guests are aware that these items should be removed prior to consumption.
Social media:
Carroll’s Custom Cakes reserves the right to use photographs of cakes made by them for advertising purposes, marketing and promotion of the business. This will include Social Media for example Facebook and Instagram. I will however not publish pictures until after the date of your celebration so that I do not spoil your big reveal.
Reviews:
I would really appreciate your feedback. If you have any pictures of you and your cake you would like to share with us or tag us in, that would be wonderful. Thank you!”
