Below are just a few of the most frequently asked questions. If there is anything that has not been answered here , please just pop me a message and I'll get back to you soon.

How far in advance do I need to order a cake?

In short, as soon as you can. As soon as you know your event date and the style or theme of cake you would like then it is time to send me an enquiry.

My busiest months are April, May and December and usually book up the quickest. Availability can always be checked here.

Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis. Bookings are only secure once details have been agreed and a deposit of 50% of order value paid. 

Every order is extremely important to me and I appreciate how special the occasion is to you. For this reason I will never sacrifice standards for the sake of overselling myself. 

What size cake do I need?

The portion  sizes that I recommend are based on a 1.5"x2" finger portion.

Each of my sponge cakes stands at approximately 7" tall, using 4 layers of sponge with filling and decorative layer. 

I would recommend 6" diameter for 20-30 servings and 8" diameter for 30-40 servings. For more servings I would recommend a 2 tier cake of 8" & 6".

How much is a cake? 

There is no "one price fits all" for a custom cake. There are many factors that determine the final cost of your order and this is why I ask you to give as much information as possible on your enquiry form.

Size, flavour, design, and toppings required will all play a part in the final quote.

I can always work with you to suggest a product that will suit your budget.

A 6" 4 layer sponge starts at €100.

An 8" 4 layer sponge starts at €115.

2 tier cakes start at €230.

Do you make wedding cakes?

At this time I do not cater for large wedding orders. However, I can cater for smaller, intimate occasions where either yourself or a representative can collect and bring the cake to the venue.

Do you deliver?

I only offer a collection service at this time. 

Collections are available Tuesday-Friday 09:30-13:00 or 15:30-17:00 or Saturday 09:30-13:00.

Do you make gluten/nut/dairy free cakes?

​

All of my cakes contain Butter, eggs, milk and gluten. They are made in an environment where nuts and gluten are used. For this reason I do not offer allergen free bakes as there will always be trace elements.
